DFAT list is imported as one searchable source with aliases and original-script names preserved where available.

Hit means the counterparty is on the Azerbaijan national sanctions list. This is a third-country national designation — a review signal (not a binding EU/UN/OFAC sanction by itself). Analyst review required.

Belgian financial sanctions hits are blocking/restrictive where Belgian nexus applies. Outside direct Belgian nexus they are a high-value EU member-state enhanced-review signal.

Canada listed-terrorist-entity hits are blocking/restrictive where Canadian nexus applies and an enhanced-review signal elsewhere.

Administrative consolidated Canadian list. Reports preserve source links because the underlying regulations remain the legal basis.

Swiss national source. Some entries overlap with EU/UN lists and some may be unique.

Active Estonian national sanctions source. The list may be small; zero or low counts are not a source-health failure by themselves.

Primary EU entity sanctions source. Reports should preserve list code, authority, legal basis and import freshness.

Hit means the person appears in the EU consolidated travel-ban layer. This is a travel/admission restriction and legal-evidence enrichment for EU sanctions screening; it is not, by itself, a funds-freeze/payment block. Use eu_fsf_logical_id

Keep list_name stable for API/UI compatibility. Legal changes are versioned in sanctions.legal_source_versions and entity rows remain SCD2-effective by legal date.

EU Iran Article 23(2) autonomous asset-freeze designations (Annex IX): nuclear/ballistic-missile, IRGC and IRISL persons and entities.

EU Libya Article 6(2) autonomous asset-freeze designations (Annex III): persons and entities. UN-designated (Annex II) covered via UN_SC / EU_FSF.
